Despite losing three of four games in consecutive home doubleheaders this week, Roxboro Post 138’s one win was perhaps the team’s best all-around performance of the season in a 6-5 opening-game victory over the Kerr Vance Vipers Wednesday evening in junior legion baseball action at Optimist Park.

  Robert Alan “Bob” Michalec, 47, of 677 Lake Shore Dr., Leasburg, died Friday, June 26, 2009.  Born in Greenfield, IN, Mr. Michalec was the son of the late Mitchell Kenneth Michalec and Dolores C. Watson, of Semora.  Mr. Michalec was a superintendent with Trout and Riggs Construction Company in Durham.
