Courier-Times Chief Photographer Ken Martin has kept his string
of journalism awards intact, capturing a third place award in
the Best Photo Page category in the N. C. Press Associations
Editorial Contest for 2007.
Competing in the competitive division for community newspapers
of 10,000 or more circulation, Martin was cited for his entry
Its about time
to spring forward,
a page of photographs playing on the theme of time related
to the switch to daylight saving time in the spring of 2007.
Martin received the award Thursday evening during the NCPAs
annual awards presentation, in conjunction with the associations
84th Winter Newspaper Institute, which was held at the Embassy
Suites in Cary.
A graduate of the Randolph Community College photojournalism
program, Martin has proved a consistent winner in the photography
categories of the annual NCPA contest since joining the staff
of The Courier-Times some 27 years ago.
