Person County Clerk of Superior Court Deborah Barker said that effective Friday,

new phone numbers were operative for the offices of the clerk of court, district attorney, Guardian Ad Litem, District Court judges’ office and chambers and Superior Court judge’s chambers.

Barker said the change in phone numbers came “at the direction of the Administrative Office of the Courts.”

Barker said the former numbers assigned to the offices are still operable, but will be answered by a pre-recorded message.

“When the old numbers are used, an operator will come on and give the new number for that particular office,” Barker said in a memo this week.

The new phone numbers for the courthouse offices are:

• Clerk of Court (Criminal Division) — 336-503-5200;

• Clerk of Court (Civil Division) — 336-503-5201;

• Clerk of Court (estates/special proceedings) — 336-503-5202;

• Clerk of Court fax number — 336-503-5229;

• District Attorney — 336-503-5252;

• District Attorney fax number — 336-503-5253;

• Guardian Ad Litem — 336-503-5265;

• Guardian Ad Litem fax number — 336-503-5269;

• District Court judges’ office — 336-503-5260;

• District Court judges’ fax number — 336-503-5261;

• District Court judges’ chambers — 336-503-5219;

• Superior Court judge’s chambers — 336-503-5220.
