Josie K. Clayton

A graveside funeral for Josie Knott Clayton, 74, of 122 Lewis Winstead Loop Rd., who died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008 at Duke University Medical Center, was conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in the Burchwood Cemetery by the Rev. John D. Howle.

Mrs. Clayton was a native of Person County, the daughter of the late George Cal and Nannie Mae Walker Knott.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Longhurst United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, M.B. Clayton; two children, Calvin Beam Clayton and wife, Lee Ann, and Angela Fay Clayton, all of Roxboro; two brothers, Archie Elton Knott and Harold (Buster) Knott, both of Roxboro; and two sisters, Patsy Knott of Roxboro and Jean Pemberton of Durham.

Robert B. Hughes IV

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — A graveside funeral for Robert Benjamin Hughes IV, also known as (Rob) or (Robbie), 38, of Fredericksburg, Va. and formerly of Mechanicsville, Va., who died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 following a brief illness, was conducted Friday, Feb. 1, in the Signal Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Hughes was the son of Robert B. Hughes III and Bonnie J. Hughes, who survive.

He was a 1988 graduate of Lee-Davis High School where he played football. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Kori Marie Hughes; a brother, John Hughes of Madien, Va.; and his grandparents, Thurman and Roxanah Eggleston of Chesterfield, Va. and formerly of Roxboro.

June G. Krueger

ZEBULON — The funeral for June Graham Krueger, 72, of 1008 Agio Ct., who died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 16, in the L. Harold Poole Funeral Home chapel in Knightdale by Pastor Bill Currington and Pastor Todd Drueger. Burial will be in the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon.

Born July 11, 1935 in Greene, Iowa, Mrs. Krueger was the daughter of the late John Graham and Harmina Mae Diekman Graham.

She was retired from Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Ga. for which she was a financial coordinator

She was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald L. Krueger; a daughter, Patti K. Delbridge and husband, William, of Zebulon; a son, Kerry D. Krueger and wife, Anita, of Rougemont; two brothers, Claude Graham of Charles City, Iowa and Robert Graham of Nashua, Iowa; a sister, Helen Jensen of Charles City, Iowa; and three grandchildren, William Delbridge, III, Grant Krueger and Elise Krueger.

Visitation will be for 30 minutes before the service.

Estelle G. Todd

The funeral for Estelle Gentry Todd, 89, who died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at the Lutheran Home in Winston-Salem, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 16, at Mill Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Carlyle Hall Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born in Person County, Mrs. Todd was daughter of the late George Thomas and Sallie Morton Gentry. Her late husbands were Willie Roy Richardson and Hugh L. Todd, and her late children were Lucy Faye Richardson and David Wesley Richardson.

She was a former employee of Collins & Aikman Corp. and retired from Medical Park Hospital after 14 years of service.

She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Roy Gentry Richardson of Advance; four brothers, Lamberth Gentry and Marshall Gentry, both of Burlington, Ircil Gentry of Cary and John M. (Maury) Gentry of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Sue G. Ingram of Burlington and Hilda G. McKnight of Winston-Salem; and three grandchildren, Regina and Shane Richardson and Daniel Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Gentry, Bart McKnight, Chip Gentry, Tony Gentry, Dwight Ingram, Andy Gentry and Stephen McKee.

Memorials may be made to Mill Creek Baptist Church, 1890 Mill Creek Road, Roxboro NC 27574.
