Robert F. Bailey
A memorial service for Robert Franklin (Franklin) Bailey, 45, of
Roxboro, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, will be conducted at
3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, in the Clements Funeral Home chapel.
Born on July 13, 1962 in Durham, Mr. Bailey was the son of Sam
and Beverly Williams of Durham, who survives. His late brother was
Ricky Bailey.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife Mitenna Bailey;
two step-daughters, Brooklyn Allen and Brandi Copeland; his grandmother,
Fleta Maynard of Durham; two brothers, Mike Jones of Orlando, Fla.
and Kevin Williams of Durham; three sisters, Nancy Richardson of
Pelahatchie, Miss., Andrea Williams of Bahama and Heidi Thornton
of Durham.
He attended school in Durham and was a Christian.
He was employed with SunBelt Transportation and was a former firefighter
for the City of Durham.
Visitation will be at the home of Sam and Beverly Williams, 2712
Fairlawn Rd., Durham.
Earl C. Bradsher
A memorial service for Earl Crowder Bradsher of the Roxboro Nursing
Center, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Person Memorial Hospital,
will be conducted at noon today, May 24, in the Cunningham &
Nelson Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Clyde Glass.
Mr. Bradsher was a member of Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Emily Candada, Mildred Hamlett and
Marion Barnett, all of Roxboro; a son of Florida; two brothers,
Bobby Joe Bradsher of Roxboro and Doug Bradsher of Durham; and several
grandchildren.
James A. Crowder
KINGS MOUNTAIN The funeral for James Anderson (Andy) Crowder
Jr., 63, of Kings Mountain, who died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Gaston
Memorial Hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, in
the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia by Pastor
John Stanley. Burial will be in the Evergreen (A Quiet Place.)
Mr. Crowder was a native of Person County, the son of Beatrice
Painter Crowder and the late James Anderson Crowder. His late sister
was Susan Crowder Hicks.
He grew up in Roxboro and graduated from Roxboro High School in
1963. He went on to graduate from Campbell College and pursued a
career in business. He traveled extensively and was an avid NASCAR
fan. He also served in the N.C. National Guard during the 1960's.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Patricia Lamb;
and a sister, Connie Crowder Mundy and husband, Jamie.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Mundy, Gary Hicks, Steven Bailey, Danny
Bumpass, David Kenny and Richie Green.

Paul M. Jurden
A memorial service for Paul Michael Jurden, 52, of 374 Antioch
Acres Dr., who died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Person Memorial Hospital
was conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, May 23, in the Brooks & White
Funeral Home chapel.
Mr. Jurden was the son of the late Frank Stec and Elizabeth Ferko.
Surviving are his wife, Amy Montana; two children, Michael Jurden
and Teresa Jurden, both of Pennsylvania; three step-children, Brandon
Montana, Jade Montana and Chelsea Montana, all of Chapel Hill; a
brother, Watson Walker (Buddy) Jurden Jr., of Wilmington, Del.;
and a grandchild.
He attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne Special
Forces and had traveled extensively during his military career.

Harvey Womack
The funeral for Harvey Womack, 79, of Leasburg, who died Tuesday,
May 20, 2008 at his home, was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 23,
at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in Yanceyville by
Nathaniel Jeffreys. Burial was in the Farabow Cemetery.
Born on Dec. 26, 1928, Mr. Womack was a native of Person County,
the son of the late Jessie Johnson and Catherine Womack.
He attended Caswell County public schools.
Surviving are his wife, Willie S. Womack; five sons, Harvey Womack
Jr. and wife, Jeanette, James Womack and wife, Patricia, Bobby Womack
and wife, Lovetta, all of Leasburg, Sylvester Womack and wife, Gloria,
of Charlotte and Reginald Womack and wife, Sharon, of Roxboro; two
daughters, Louise Pulliam and husband, John, of Leasburg and Vanessa
Dale McGhee and husband, Stanley, of Semora; 20 grandchildren; and
20 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Plenty Funeral Home of Semora.
Kim D. Williams
The funeral for Kim Davis Williams, 47, of Roxboro, who died Wednesday,
May 21, 2008 at Person Memorial Hospital, will be conducted at 2
p.m. Sunday, May 25, at Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church by the Rev.
Janice Cash. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are five sisters, Felecia Davis and Janice Davis, both
of Roxboro, Jacequeline Davis of Timberlake, Cynthia D. Fuller of
Durham and Francine D. Cash of Semora.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, May 24, at Hester,
Whitted & Daye Funeral Home.
