Cheyenne B. Clayton

The funeral for Cheyenne Bailey Clayton, infant daughter of Harold Rocky and Heather Ashley Clayton, who died July 1, 2008 at Duke University Medical Center, was conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, in the Brooks & White Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Hal Dickerson and Dr. M. David Chambers. Burial was in the Timberlake Baptist Church cemetery.

Cheyenne was preceded in death by her twin sibling.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her paternal grandparents, Randall and Gayle Clayton of Roxboro; her maternal grandmother, Kimberly Hill Mooney of Roxboro; paternal great-grandparents, Elmer Tojo and Esther Banna Clayton of Roxboro; her maternal great-grandparents, Fred and Judy Hill of Roxboro and Ricky Duke of Bahama; and her maternal great-great-grandmother Vera Billings, of Durham.

Pallbearers were David Harris, Travis Hill, Freddy Hill and Dylan Harris.

Charles R. Grinstead

DURHAM — A memorial service for Charles Reginald (Reggie) Grinstead Jr., 42, of 901 S. Duke St., who died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Duke University Medical Center, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, July 5, in the Brooks & White Funeral Home chapel by Elder C.B. Davis Jr.

Born in Durham County, Mr. Grinstead was the son of Charles Reginald Grinstead of Hurdle Mills and Linda Baucom Rocker of Durham. 

He was employed at Morehead Senior Apartments.

He was a Catholic.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his step-mother, Dina Grinstead of Hurdle Mills; and two brothers, Gary C. Grinstead and Jeff L. Grinstead, both of Timberlake.

Maxine Holloway

The funeral for Maxine Holloway, 79, of Mill Creek Rd., who died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Person Memorial Hospital, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 6, in Lawson Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Langston Logan. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving are three daughters, Ovedia Day of Baltimore, Md., Annette Holloway and Sylvia Satterfield, both of Roxboro; three brothers, Bobby Holloway of Roxboro, George Holloway of Trenton, N.J. and Edward Holloway of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Bretie Rogers of Roxboro and Gutherine Brodie of High Point; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, July 5, at Hester, Whitted & Daye Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Sylvia Satterfield, 63 Shady Hill Circle.

Zelia C. Williams

The funeral for Zelia Corrine Williams, 85, of 225 South St., who died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Person Memorial Hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Clyde Glass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Sherri Williams Talley of Roxboro; a sister, Gelia Williams of the home; a brother, General Gentry Williams of Roxboro; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, July 5, at the church.
